Find out how Newcastle Cathedral is changing!
Excitement is building here at Newcastle Cathedral, Church of St Nicholas, as we prepare to publicly launch our Common Ground in Sacred Space Project.
This is the beginning of a long journey of change – there will be challenges along the way, but it will lead to a transformed Cathedral, meeting the needs of its congregation, wider users, and partners.
To herald the start of the project, we would like to invite you to attend our very first Common Ground in Sacred Space Project ENGAGEMENT DAY on Tuesday 27 June from 3pm until 6pm to:
- share the news of the HLF grant award with the Cathedral community, sharing how it will bring significant investment to the Cathedral;
- introduce opportunities for people to get involved with the project and seek expressions of interest;
- begin to share some of the fascinating stories of the Cathedral that will be revealed through the project; and
- give participants time to share their hopes, fears, and dreams for the project.
There will be a chance to hear from the HLF Committee, the Cathedral Development Trust Project Co-ordinator, the Dean of Newcastle, and local business representatives, before rounding off the event with a glass of fizz and nibbles and a choral celebration by the Newcastle Cathedral Choir.
The event is free to attend and all are welcome to join us. Click here to reserve places at our Engagement Day.
So that we can ensure everyone has a seat (and a glass of fizz!) and to adhere to fire, health and safety regulations, please reserve your free places via this link: Common Ground in Sacred Space Project Engagement Day so that we know how many people will be attending.
