The Osiligi Maasai Warriors, a performing tribal group from southern Kenya, are set to visit Newcastle Cathedral on Thursday, September 14.

The group has toured north east schools and churches with great success in recent years but this will be their first major city concert in the area.

The evening is great family entertainment – and educational, as the show also looks at the lives of the Maasai and the group does a Q and A session with the audience.

The Warriors tour has also gained the support of a small UK charity – Osiligi Charity Projects – and, collectively, they have utterly transformed their local community in the last seven years. A new primary school has been built for 200 sponsored children; there is a new medical centre and orphanage; and a solar powered water station which serves the wider community.
