|Recurring Event (See all)

INSPIRING IMAGES – a series of talks on images that inspire the speaker.

Newcastle Cathedral’s Lenten Addresses are a series of talks with a devotional focus given by our Dean, the Very Revd Christopher Dalliston, and our four Residentiary Canons, throughout the period of Lent.

In past years, the overarching theme has been ‘Inspiring…’

In 2014, the theme was ‘Inspiring Anglicans’ (a series of addresses about significant people from the Anglican tradition); in 2015 the theme was ‘Inspiring places’, and in 2016 it was ‘Inspiring texts’.

This year sees us focus on Inspiring Images which we have found inspiring and enriching of our Christian lives and ministries.

The series runs throughout Lent on the following days/dates:

THURSDAY 9TH MARCH 2017
Canon John Sinclair
The Women – John Charlton

THURSDAY 16TH MARCH 2017
The Very Revd Christopher Dalliston
The Resurrection, Cookham – Stanley Spencer

THURSDAY 23RD MARCH 2017

THURSDAY 30TH MARCH 2017
