Bell Ringing Schedule
Planned Bell Ringing at Newcastle Cathedral in 2019
Bell ringing occurs every Sunday throughout the year at the following times:
9:00am to 10:00am for Morning Eucharist
2:45pm to 4:00pm for Choral Evensong
Occasionally these times are subject to change, depending on the liturgical calendar and, for example, whether any special events or wedding bookings request bell ringing. Newcastle Cathedral will always endeavour to publish any changes as soon as possible.
Additionally, bell ringing practice occurs every Tuesday evening throughout the year from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. On the 3rd Tuesday of the month the practice is from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. There is no bell ringing practice in Holy Week with the exception in the table below as a mark of solidarity following the devastating fire at Notre Dame Cathedral.
