From researching the Cathedral’s internationally important collection of ledger stones, to discovering more about the monuments, windows and military colours which make the Cathedral so unique, the group will have a chance to make a real impact into our knowledge and understanding of the Cathedral and how it was used in the past.

To launch the project, the Cathedral is holding a special launch event, including a tour of the building and a talk from the Cathedral’s Archaeologist, Dave Heslop. At the event, there is also the opportunity to learn more about volunteering and how your valuable contribution can make a positive effort to the research going forwards.

The event is held on Wednesday 2 May 2018 at the Cathedral and is free to attend.

Two time slots are available to book: either 2pm or 6pm. Please choose the time that suits you best.

All are welcome to attend. Please reserve your free place via Eventbrite: https://community-history-project-launch-event.eventbrite.co.uk
