Heritage Hub – Newcastle Central Station 6-9 and 13-16 September

It’s been a great few months for volunteering at Newcastle Cathedral as we work to expand our volunteering programme.

We are now looking for a group of enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to help support our exciting Heritage Hub as part of Newcastle’s 2018 Heritage Open Days.

Volunteers’ role at the Hub will be to help direct visitors to a wealth of heritage venues throughout the city, including the Cathedral.

Heritage Open Days run from 6-9 and 13-16 September and we will be in our cosy station hub from 10am-3pm each day.

Please do sign up for a short morning or afternoon shift if you can.

Full training and support will be available.

For more information, please contact Abi Knowles, Volunteer Coordinator, via email: volunteers@stnicholascathedral.co.uk or call: 0191 232 1939.

Other Volunteer Opportunities

There are lots of other opportunities to volunteer at the Cathedral, from bell ringing and flower arranging, to joining our welcome and verger teams. If you’re interested in joining us we’d love to hear from you. We’ll provide full training and induction and lots of cups of tea or coffee!

Volunteers are a vital part of the day to day life of the Cathedral and we hugely appreciate everyone who gives up their time to support us.

For any volunteering enquiries, please contact Abi Knowles, Volunteer Coordinator, via email: volunteers@stnicholascathedral.co.uk or call: 0191 232 1939.
